Press release on the 31st session of the Special Verification Commission under the INF Treaty

On December 12-14, the Special Verification Commission under the Treaty between the USSR and the USA on the Elimination of Their Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles (INF Treaty) conducted its 31st session in Geneva.
Delegations from the Russian Federation, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, United States of America and Ukraine discussed matters related to fulfilling obligations assumed under the INF Treaty.
In connection with the 30th anniversary of the signing of the INF Treaty, the delegations expressed the view that this treaty continues to play an important role in the existing system of international security, nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation and that they will work to maintain and strengthen it.
