On the conference: "Russian-American Energy Resource Development"

On December 1, 2014 the Embassy of the Russian Federation to the U.S. in cooperation with The American Institute of Energy Efficiency is hosting the conference on "Russian-American Energy Resource Development: Current Status, Future Steps". The event is dedicated to a global outlook on energy development, technological challenges and logistics and transportation issues between Russia and the United States.
The conference is aimed at fostering a cooperative environment for global energy producers. The two panel sessions will cover the latest news on the Russian-U.S. energy projects around the globe and examine the latest advances in logistics, transportation and environmental mitigation used by both nations.

The event will feature:

  • Piotr Galitzine, Chairman of TMK IPSCO, the American division of TMK that is Russia’s largest manufacturer and exporter of steel pipes, ranking among the global top three pipe producers
  • Charles McConnell, former U.S. Assistant Secretary of Energy, Executive Director of Rice University's Energy and Environment Initiative in Houston, Texas
