"Doing business with the BRICS" Conference

On May 20 Embassy of the Russian Federation to the US and "The Eurasia Center" (www.eurasiacenter.org) co-hosted in Washington DC the 1st "Doing business with the BRICS" Conference. Brazil, India, China and South Africa Embassies, US Administration, private companies, diplomatic corps and expert community representatives took part in it.

The following panel discussions took place at the Conference: the growing influence of the BRICS in global affairs, especially in economic sphere, mechanisms of foreign investment attraction by the Group of Five. Energy and regional development issues of the Group, their new initiatives for scientific and technological innovation were discussed as well.
The Conference has shown genuine interest of governmental, business and expert circles towards BRICS and its potential. It is planned to set up the Conference on annual basis.
