It is with concern that we receive daily “reports” from the #Russophobic front in the United States. After the withdrawal of diplomatic immunity and de facto liquidation of several Russian official missions, limitation of the right to use a number of Russian properties, attacks on Russian media outlets – broadcaster RT and Sputnik – decisions against Kaspersky Lab’s software followed. Therefore Russophobia is now starting to convert into an unfair competition in the information field, as well as to affect software market.
We see it as links of a single chain. Such steps cannot but provoke deep regret. They only delay the prospects for restoring bilateral cooperation and distract from resolving priority tasks, primarily from combating international terrorism. We also call on the United States to thoroughly reconsider our proposal to set up a joint cybersecurity group.
